V Tee Week Friday

One of the great things about being a girl is being able to look cute any day you want.  I love style icons like Rachel Zoe, who say everyday is an occasion to dress up and look awesome... And why not!

Today's look highlights that philosophy of enjoying femininity and a little bit of celebratory feel as well.

V-Tee Week Kick-Off

What do all women have in common? 

We all own jeans and a white v-neck shirt!  

(If you happen to be feeling left out, go to your local Target and buy one for $8, or any variety of stores most all of which consider them standard.)

In celebration of the great v-neck, this week will be declared V-Tee Week, where each day I will use it (along with some jeans) in a fun and versatile way to highlight it's greatness!

Today we begin with a preppy look, conservative and cute, also with great day-to-night use.  The main points of comfort here are in the flat shoes and easy styling!!

Work it Wednesday

(Every wednesday we will take some inspiration from a retail website, magazine, or even photos of real women to help recreate a really fabulous, stylish look, and, as always, in an affordable way!)

This week's "Work it Wednesday" comes from Nordstrom's BP department, one of my personal favorite looks of colored denim.  (I about died when I saw the look, considering I had been sporting it as my "uniform"-easy go-to outfit- for the last few months). Like any form of denim, it requires a good fit but is much more interesting than the shades of muted blue!
