V-Tee Week Tuesday

Today's look comes inspired by everyday life.  One great stumbling block in the face of style is comfort.  We want to look great but we want it to feel like sweat pants.

Below is a look that just looks comfortable. Again with the wedge heel, you can get the height without getting the pain of regular heels. The key is a good fit and a feeling like they are strapped on snugly without rubbing.

What do all women have in common? 

We all own jeans and a white v-neck shirt!  

(If you happen to be feeling left out, go to your local Target and buy one for $8, or any variety of stores most all of which consider them standard.)

In celebration of the great v-neck, this week will be declared V-Tee Week, where each day I will use it (along with some jeans) in a fun and versatile way to highlight it's greatness!

Today we begin with a preppy look, conservative and cute, also with great day-to-night use.  The main points of comfort here are in the flat shoes and easy styling!!

Work it Wednesday- Celebrity Edition

Today's Work it look comes from the adorable Kim Kardashian....

Ok, so "adorable" doesn't exactly fit... I'll be the first to admit I love her style but I frankly can't stand any of her antics or vain personality. While she might not be able to stay married for 6 months to save her life, the girl can put together a great outfit.

This look has been on my mind for some time, but I attempted to make it a little more conservative while still maintaining the great color palette. In addition, there are different styling options as well.

Beauty Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions are such a great opportunity to improve our lives.  Setting reasonable goals helps to make us happier and increase our sense of accomplishment. Here are 12 of my resolutions, in honor of our new year, 2012.

1. Learn how to take a better picture (lol-see above)

2. Stay moisturized 

3. Keep hydrated

4. Learn to love my figure <3

5. Get 8 hrs of sleep each night

6. Always wear sunscreen

7. Smile more

8. Give more compliments to others and myself

9. Sit up straight

10. Clean my makeup brushes and bag at least monthly

11. Enjoy some time outdoors daily

12. Take a little time daily to put myself together
